Danville Area Community Foundation Outstanding Alumni Award T his award has been established to recognize the achievement of a Danville Area High School Alumnus who has contributed in a significant, recognizable, definable way to profession, community or humankind. Process for Nomination: A potential candidate must be a graduate of Danville Area High School and he/she must be nominated by a person who has also graduated from Danville Area High School. The nominator must submit a written letter of recommendation and must complete a nomination form. Criteria for Selection: While there is no minimum age at which a person may be nominated, this award is intended to honor a lifetime of achievements. To be selected, a candidate's nominator must clearly define the nominee in these terms: 1. a significant, recognizable, definable contribution to profession, community or humankind. 2. a significant, recognizable, definable demonstration of a "generous spirit." Selection Committee: The selection committee shall include representatives of the following organizations: 1. DACF (Chairperson or representative appointed by Chairperson) 2. DASD (superintendent or representative appointed by superintendent) 3. At-large representatives agreed upon and appointed by DACF Advisory Board (must be Danville Area High School Graduates) 4.
