History
The Union County Community Foundation was established in 1993 by local service club members who wanted to make a lasting difference in their community while creating opportunities for donors to leave effective, permanent legacies. Initially the administrative tasks of the Foundation were handled by volunteers from the community and local banks. By 2005, however, our board members recognized that by affiliating with the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania we would have the tools we needed to grow. By partnering with the FCFP we have been able to control administrative costs while relying on a professional staff to work with our donors and help with our fundraising efforts.
Today, we remain focused on building for the future. Though we are a young community foundation, we have made a positive, lasting impact on our community. By providing grants and scholarships, we are helping enhance the quality of life in Union County.
