The Book of Dreams – A Project of the
Williamsport-Lycoming Community Foundation
The Book of Dreams is just that - a compilation of
wishes that, with the community's help, become reality.
The dreams listed come from the stories of real people
and actual situations - some are overcoming incredible
challenges; others are creating hope, broadening
horizons, or simply giving someone a smile.

Sponsorship of the Book of Dreams
Prior to publication of the Book of Dreams, the
Williamsport-Lycoming Community Foundation solicits
financial sponsorship and in-kind donations for the Book
of Dreams through various businesses, institutions,
groups and individuals. The Williamsport-Lycoming
Community Foundation recognizes sponsors on the cover to
the Book of Dreams, and in advertising related to the
project.
Donations to the Book of Dreams
Donations may be made in memory or honor of a family
member or loved one as well. Some organizations choose a
specific need in the Book of Dreams and conduct their
own fund-raising efforts for that need. Contributors are
recognized in publications, unless they designate a
desire to remain anonymous.

How the Dreams are Selected
Non-profit agencies, churches and schools are invited
to submit applications to nominate a person, family or
program with a special need for inclusion in the Book of
Dreams. The Book of Dreams' Committee reviews and
selects needs from the submitted applications to be
included in each edition. Requested funding is limited
to $2,500 per need.
Inclusion in the Book of Dreams in NO WAY affects an
organization's consideration for other grants offered by
the Williamsport-Lycoming Community Foundation. These
are two (2) separate initiatives under the Foundation
and are NOT in competition with each other in any way.
If you are affiliated with a nonprofit agency, school,
or church, and would like to receive an application for
next year's Book of Dreams project, please contact the
Foundation office at (570) 321-1500 or e-mail us at
fcfpa@fcfpa.org.
